Messing with Fish Brains

Sometimes it can be tricky to blog about what we’re working on. So much is happening, but pointing out the little things can result in missing the forest for the trees. Other times, Sylvain comes along and throws a cracking ball, and serves a post up on my lap. Here’s a video he recorded earlier:

This video is great because it shows a few things: The new Flare, new, better look fish schools, and the way the two interact. That interaction is a big key to the Subnautica ocean: We don’t want to just ‘add stuff’ to it. We want to add stuff that then interacts with other stuff, contributing to a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. A forest then, rather than a group of trees. No? Ok. I’ll log myself out…
