A Huge Thank You to the Subnautica Community

Posted by Donya 5 years ago

In celebration of World Environment Day 2019, Subnautica went on sale as part of a Valve special event between June 5th and 8th. Unknown Worlds pledged to donate 15% of our profits from sales of the original Subnautica to the non-profit, the Ocean Cleanup.

Thanks to the efforts of the incredible and dedicated Subnautica community, we are pleased to announce that you were collectively able to raise $20,694.45 to donate to the Ocean Cleanups’ efforts to rid the world’s oceans of plastic.

We cannot express our gratitude enough for all of your help in making this donation possible. Just as you have all worked at eliminating the bacterium that threatened Planet 4546B, we are now able to make

Below Zero Roadmap Rebooted & Release Timeline

Posted by david 5 years ago

What’s up with the roadmap?

If you’ve been following Below Zero’s development on Favro closely, you may have noticed that the Project Roadmap has changed a touch.

Help Clean Our Planet’s Ocean

Posted by Jessica 5 years ago

***This event has ended***

In celebration of World Environment Day on June 5th, Subnautica will go on sale alongside several other games as part of a Valve special event until June 8th. During this time, we volunteered to donate 15% of Unknown Worlds’ profits from the sales of the original Subnautica to the Ocean Cleanup, a non-profit foundation that aims to develop and apply technologies (directly as well as indirectly) to remove – on a large scale – plastic pollution from the oceans.

Not unlike the bacterium that threatened Planet 4546B, our planet is threatened by a mass accumulation of garbage in the ocean. Marine debris, out of which 80% is plastic, has been reported to have an impact

Subnautica Price Increasing on Steam

Posted by acedude 7 years ago

Subnautica on Steam is edging towards launch. We are aiming for release on the 31st of October, 2017. There’s lots of work still to do, particularly with regards to performance, but we are quite somewhat confident we will hit the 31st. We would like to increase the price of Subnautica for launch, to 24.99 US dollars (a 25% increase from the current price of $19.99).

This price increase is applicable to Steam only. Subnautica’s price on Xbox One is not changing at this time.

Subnautica first entered Steam Early Access in 2014. Back then, there was barely any game. There were Peepers, some water to drown in, and a cardboard-cutout Aurora on the horizon. Since then, Subnautica has exploded …

However, we may introduce enhanced error reporting, that will allow us to better understand what is happening. With more information, we will be better able to …
