An Update On Our Subnautica and Below Zero Plans

Hello Subnauts,

In our last major blog post, we outlined our current and future plans for the Subnautica series. We’ve been slowly and steadily chipping away at several items on that list and are thankful for your continued patience.

Some updates have made their way out already – including for the PS5, to address the disappearing saves and screen tearing – and we have a lot more still to come.

This blog post might get a little long, but if you stick it through to the end, we hope it’ll get you excited for what’s coming next.

Subnautica: Below Zero (1.12) Switch Update Released

Update April 11 2022: We’ve released a hotfix to resolve a bug preventing players from reaching the end game. This update also fixes a crash while saving from within a PRAWN suit with a propulsion cannon. Thank you to all our players who reported these issues to us!

Subnautica (1.12) and Below Zero (1.12) PS5 Update Released

Hi, Playstation divers!

We want to thank you for your patience while we worked on investigating and fixing the issue of save games disappearing on the PS5 versions of Subnautica and Below Zero. As is often the case when working with the save game structure, we wanted to ensure that our potential fix did not unintentionally cause further complications. The fix in this update should now resolve the issue, though it will not recover any save files that corrupted and disappeared prior to this update.
